Colombos Beachfront Hotel Renovation
It is an existing residential complex renovated and turned into a hotel, in the Kolombos area of Santorini.Simplicity, comfort and functionality were the needs met and satisfied with this project. Rooms that include a loft, accommodate a bedroom upstairs and living room, kitchen and wardrobe with WC downstairs in just 30m2 in total. The typical theraic house construction with dome was combined with a simple boho decorative line inside.
The common pool area was created so that the view from the rooms would remain unobstructed and at the same time one would be able to enjoy the panoramic view of the cliffs and the beach of Colombos from the pool area. Slightly boho decorative mood with an emphasis on natural materials compose an ambiance of relaxation and tranquility. The buildings were plastered externally in ocher tones so that the volumes would disappear in the natural environment smoothly integrating the construction into the landscape.
At the last end towards the sea, a small two-bedroom villa was created boasting not only a private pool and a BBQ but also independent access to the beach. As for the inner part, most of the construction was kept unchanged, combining the traditional character with a more modern point of view in furniture and items. A sense of comfort and aesthetic austerity is the aim here.
